Patient terms
These terms cover the screen, plan checks, Complex Case Reviews, prepaid visits and the Access and Care plans. Instant Dentist is run by [company name], registered in England and Wales [number].
What we do
Instant Dentist is a remote dental advice and booking service. A UK-registered dentist reviews your photos and answers and tells you what you are likely to need. It does not replace an examination, and the dentist who examines you makes the final decision.
Who can use it
Adults aged 18 or over in the UK. Version one runs in England first. If you are under 18 we will point you to NHS services.
Emergencies
Swelling spreading to your eye or neck, or trouble breathing or swallowing? Call 999 or go to A&E now. For urgent help out of hours, call NHS 111. If you report a red flag in the app we stop the check and do not charge you.
Prices
A screen or plan check costs £20. Visits cost £99 (check-up and hygiene), £240 (treatment visit) or £360 (advanced visit), the same at every partner practice. The Complex Case Review costs the price shown to you when you start. The price you see before you pay is the price you pay for that visit.
What a visit covers
The fixed scope shown on your booking. If the dentist finds something the photos could not show, they can change the plan only with your consent, given on your phone, and within the price band. Treatment beyond the visit is quoted by the practice and paid to them.
Payments
Payments are taken by our payment provider and split at source: the practice receives the visit price less a flat marketing fee. Instant Dentist never holds your money. Paying over time is offered by a finance partner, subject to status.
Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel 24 hours or more before: full refund.
- Cancel under 24 hours, or do not attend: no refund; the practice is paid for the slot.
- The practice cancels or declines: full refund and the next partner slot offered.
- The visit is clinically wrong for you: full refund.
- Instalments are refunded through the finance partner.
Plans
Access costs £3.50 a month or £39 a year on a 12-month plan. The £150 towards a treatment visit applies from 30 days after joining. Care costs £9.99 a month. Plans are provided through [regulated partner].
Reviews and complaints
Stabilisation work has a 14-day review. Raise a problem in the app and we open a ticket with you and the practice.
This draft goes through the consumer-terms fairness check, the regulatory review and the ASA copy review before the site is public. Bracketed items are placeholders.
